“I’ve always kept myself reasonably fit, but putting on muscle mass has really been the challenge. The lock down gave me the perfect opportunity to contact Pearce and put the time to good use. Living near Oxford was no problem, as just by using dumbbells, stretch bands and a pull up bar he was able to train me over video chat. 10 weeks of training and dietary advice, and I have gained 2.5kg of muscle mass. His knowledge meant that with so many variations to each exercise, we barely did the same one twice. Leg day each week, although never my favourite, has greatly improved balance and stability. I’m very much looking forward to the football league season starting back up to really see the benefits. My experience with Pearce has been outstanding. I’ve achieved goals, even personally, I would have never thought I’d be able to. I worked hard and took it very seriously from the very beginning, but without his support nothing of this would’ve happened. One of his best abilities as a PT I would say is knowing how to work with you, depending on the way you are or you feel, making you feel comfortable and capable at all times and supporting you reach your goals. I met Pearce via a free trial session I had been given. I had absolutely no intention of getting a personal trainer as I just don’t like exercise and had previously found sessions embarrassing and intimidating as I am not very fit. Pearce converted me immediately and as a result I have been training with him for two years. What makes Pearce stand out as a PT is his intelligence and empathy. He understands the struggle I personally face with food and gives me brilliant advice on how to avoid putting on weight through my diet. He is always researching new theories and techniques and will pass on his knowledge to his clients having usually tried things out himself. Other personal trainers I have had sessions with don’t really know what they are talking about when it comes to science but Pearce clearly finds it interesting and is incredibly well informed. In relation to our exercise sessions, he finds innovative ways to improve my fitness and physical shape without making me feel embarrassed. He is genuinely motivated by making people look and feel better and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

"Three months before my wedding I decided I needed help to get to my ideal wedding "look". I was not aiming for "super skinny" but rather "healthy, happy and fit". Pearce was the perfect choice to get me there. We met two or three times a week where we did one hour HIIT based sessions. They never got boring as we never did the same thing and I particularly enjoyed the boxing sessions. The exercises were targeted and effective: I lost centimetres off all my key target areas and my overall weight dropped by more than I expected. Pearce was also very helpful in aiding my nutritional choices throughout this type and teaching me more about how my body deals with different food groups. All in all I felt absolutely FANTASTIC by the time my wedding came around and I owe it all to Pearce!”

I actually feel fantastic. I’ve lost 8kg in 3 months and I feel a lot stronger from weights at the gym. I’m a clothes size down and so all my old size 10 clothes now fit me again and it’s like having a new wardrobe! I have a lot more energy generally. I also feel like I’ve learned a lot more about macros and the food I should eat so I can maintain!
